Mercy Through the Storm

All is well on the homestead! Irene skirted us by about 75 miles, and we are all clear. So praise the LORD for HIS goodness there. :D

We never lost power in the storm. Which is pretty amazing, since just about everyone around us is still without electricity. Even our church building is out. Hence the reason I am not there at this moment... :(

Around the house there was very minor damage. Just alot of leaves, limbs, and even more leaves. Alot of the trees have been stripped, which is pretty sad. But I praise the LORD that HE spared us from a much, much worse fate. :)

All the animals fared well. We put the pig in the cow' shelter (the cow is currently with her "boyfriend" down the road) just when it started to rain. That was interesting. All the chickens are fine. Some just got the teensiest bit wet from the wind blowing into the coop. Kaia enjoyed every bit of the storm. It meant being in water, and staying soaking wet. (yes, my dog has issues)

My flower garden is done. The wind completely flattened out what few flowers I had remaining. :(

Overall, we were so blessed in the storm. The LORD truly was gracious to us. Especially how at the beginning of the week, everyone was forecasting a direct landfall here, of a Cat. 3 storm. O_O Now its time to pray for those who were not so fortunate. That the clean-up will be swift, and those doing the clean up will be safe around the downed lines and trees.

Well, I'm going to get off of here for now. It is the LORD's day, and that means spending extra time with HIM. :D

Have a wonderfully blessed day everyone! Thanks for stopping by!
