Fear and Trusting

Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Psalm 37:1-7

I went to sleep last night thinking I had put my future, and those of whom I love in the LORD's hand. Thinking that I trusted HIM fully and would not wake up worried and afraid at what I had witnessed. I was wrong. I had not.

Instead I woke up with dread, and a splitting head ache. Then as I have gotten my day going, tears and fears have plagued me. I am afraid of my freedoms as an American citizen being trampled upon. But even more so, I am afraid for each person in my life that I hold dearly.

There is a possibility of many of my family members loosing their jobs now, and my loved ones not having enough work. I fear instability in each of their lives, and mine.

What am I being retaught through this? Trust. Trusting in GOD and HIS infinite power and grace. HE sets the powers on high, and has a reason for each one.

It's not easy for me. But I will take comfort in this thought...

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Another thought I am being reminded of is to pray even harder for all the lost souls in this country. For those who do not know the LORD as their personal Lord and Saviour. The command is to pray for them, and to reach out even more to them with the gospel of Christ. For their souls and that work will be the only thing to last through eternity.
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Colossians 3:1

Yeap, there is a new light set on my day. I WILL TRUST IN CHRIST!
