Simple Pleasures Of The Day...

“Simple pleasures are best.”
― Alan Bradley,
The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie

Today, I am thankful for these simple pleasures...

Yesterday's farmers market bouquet, sitting on the kitchen table...

Meatloaf baking in the oven...

Being able to bake my sisters birthday cheesecake...
The crepe myrtle tree blooming in the front yard...
Chickens that wait and pace and squawk at the coop door, wanting to come out...
Collecting daily gifts from said chickens...
Post yoga snacks of apple slices, peanut butter, and lemon water...
Fifty cent onesies, along with a moses basket from a local consignment shop...
And a growing belly, that although it makes me feel a bit self conscious, I know there is a precious soul growing in there. :)

“Sometimes, the simple things are more fun and meaningful than all the banquets in the world ...”
― E.A. Bucchianeri, Brushstrokes of a Gadfly

What simple pleasures are you thankful for  in your life today?

Have a wonderfully blessed day everyone! Thanks for stopping by!

  1. What a delightful post, dear Angel! I enjoyed these simple pleasures with you today... And can I say how impressed I am by your hen house? The bunting is too darling...I am so inspired to increase my flock of chickens now! {{Smiles}}
Ah, I am smiling so broadly now - how wonderful to know all is well with you and your precious wee one in the womb...I am excited to be able to meet him or her on your blog early next year! Babies are the sweetest things... Will you be finding out the gender of your little one?
Have a wonderful weekend, Angel! What a joy it is to visit your blog and be reminded to embrace the simple things in life! Today I am thankful for... Fresh warm milk from our cow, early morning coffee with Jesus...a stormy day which is perfect for doing some handwork and little sisters who make me laugh!
And thank you for your sweet comment on my blog! It made my day extra special!
Hugs and love and special prayer for you!

    1. Thank-you for sharing in the simplicity Kelly Anne! And it is a blessing to hear it was a blessing to you! :) Yes! We will be finding out sometime in September or October. There is no way I can wait! :D

Oh. I. Am. Jealous. I milked my parents Jeresy cow for 4 years, and I dearly miss that fresh cup daily! And what a wonderful way to spend a stormy day. :)

  2. Oh Angel! Thanks for sharing! You brought several smiles to my face! I love fresh flowers, they are one of my absolute favorite simple pleasures in life!
And your chicken coop is so adorable.
Our crepe myrtles' are also in bloom. The pink one are so pretty.
I am so glad you found such great bargains for your precious baby! I can't wait until you know the gender so I can start showering the baby with gifts.
    Are you having any cravings?
I wanted to surprise you with a care package, but wanted to ask if there are certain items you would especially enjoy? I want this package to be all things for Angel, then the next one will be all things for baby.
You are such a lovely person! I would be thrilled if you would allow me to spoil you during this fun season!
Hope you're having a lovely day!
    Your friend, Jordan

    1. Oh! I can't wait to find out either, so I can get more gender specific clothing, instead of mostly gray and white. By September/October we will know. :D

And girl, you are TOO sweet. I will allow, but I do not expect anything at all. ;) Cravings? Anything with peanut butter. :P And more sleep.

I pray that you are having a sweet, and lovely day yourself! :D
